Project Management Process by IPMA – Project-Controlling

Project-Controlling

Project-Controlling collects information about the current project situation and compares to the baseline of the project (scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality and risks). Corrective actions may be taken in case of variances or requested scope changes. It follows the usual Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle by W.E. Deming. Wikipedia: PDCA

Preparation:What issues are going to be checked? What papers are needed? Is a short status at beginning necessary? Is the risk plan up to date?
Doing:Actual meeting according agenda with objectives
Updating plans: Updating project handbook and relevant documents
Communication: Informing stakeholders actively about the project progress and issues
Closing:Archiving status report and documents


Output:
Updated plans (schedule, cost, WBS, Work packages etc.)
